Nycon-RC is a 2-denier virgin nylon monofilament fiber that offers reduced dose per cubic yard while providing plastic shrinkage crack control and superior finish.

DESCRIPTION
NYCON-RC fiber products are ultra-fine (2d), monofilament nylon fibers for use in fiber reinforced concrete, stucco and shotcrete. NYCON-RC is specifically designed for use in concrete products for the purpose of controlling plastic shrinkage and thermal cracking.

NYCON-RC meets the requirements of ASTM C-1116, Section 4.1.3 and AC-32 at 0.75 lb (0.34 kg) per CY.

APPLICATIONS
NYCON-RC utilizes the mixing activity to disperse the fibers into the mix. NYCON-RC acts with a surface bond in the concrete with a multi-dimensional fiber network. NYCON-RC does not affect curing process chemically.

NYCON-RC can be used in all types of concrete. Synthetic fibers help the concrete at early ages, which is especially beneficial where stripping time and handling is important.

NYCON-RC used in shotcrete applications will increase the compaction and density of shotcrete, reducing rebound and permitting thicker layers per pass.
