Q:Are there any health issues relating to AR-glass fibers?

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) does not classify reinforcement glass fibers as a carcinogen (cancer-causing agent). Reinforcement glass fibers are currently grouped by OSHA along with other materials as "Particulate Not Otherwise Regulated" (PNOR), or simply as "Nuisance Dusts". The American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH), a recognized professional standards-setting society (not a government agency) whose exposure recommendations are often more conservative than those currently adopted by OSHA, lists continuous filament glass fibers (such as reinforcement glass fibers) as " Not Classifiable as a Human Carcinogen."
