Nycon is committed to educating and supporting the "construction value chain" to raise industry awareness of the benefits of fiber reinforcement. To insure our synthetic and steel fibers are used to the best advantage of owners, Nycon provides consultation and engineering services to designers and project engineers in the specification, production, and use of fiber-reinforced concrete.

Research & Development

All Nycon’s reinforcing fibers are engineered and manufactured for use as concrete reinforcement and meet or exceed standard code requirements.

Nycon’s research on fiber-reinforced concrete (FRC) technology is conducted at:

South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, under the direction of Dr. V. Ramakrishnan.
Rutgers University, Princeton, New Jersey, under the direction of Dr. Balaguru

Our standard test work is conducted at Stork Twin City Testing Corporation in St. Paul, Minnesota.
